The Navy intends to solicit and award an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract for engineering support services relating to the electromagnetic properties of military communication, navigation, surveillance, fire control and electronic warfare systems. These systems relate to surface ships, submarines, aircraft, land vehicles and shore facilities. Support services will include developing hardware and software, test and evaluation requirements, training curricula, integrated logistic support plans; performing studies, analysis, testing and installation of existing and development systems, subsystems and tools; preparing engineering documentation; conducting laboratory and field tests and training; and maintaining ILS and electromagnetic related data bases. The proposed cost reimbursement type contract will require personnel categories such as systems engineers; computer scientists, analysts, and programmers; logistics, mechanical, test, and electronics engineers. Performance will take place at the contractor's facility and at Navy facilities located in San Diego, CA, and throughout the Pacific. The proposed contract will contain a one year period of performance to commence OCT 1996 with 4 options, each for an additional one year period.
