circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.96.147. 1.

High-speed crafts. 5. Title, number of pages and language(s) of the
notified document: The Decree by the National Maritime Administration
with Regulations Concerning Safety for High-Speed Crafts (1 page). 6.
Description of content: The rule gives safety requirements for Swedish
high-speed crafts and for foreign high-speed crafts in Swedish
territorial waters. The rule implies that the ships mentioned above
shall comply with the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) Code
of Safety for High-Speed Crafts (the HSC Code). The HSC Code contains
safety requirements for high-speed crafts. The requirements regulate
for example: buoyancy, stability, accommodation, escape measures,
anchoring, towing, berthing, fire safety, life-saving appliances and
arrangements, machinery, auxiliary systems, alarm and safety systems,
electrical installations, navigational equipment, radiocommunications,
operating compartment layout, stabilization systems, handling,
performance, operational requirements, inspection and maintenance
requirements. 7. Objective and rationale: The purpose of the rule is to
increase the safety on high-speed crafts with the establishment of an
international safety standard. 8. Relevant documents: IMO's Code of
Safety for High-Speed Crafts (the HSC Code). 9. Proposed date of
adoption: Proposed date of entry into force: As soon as possible. 10.
