Digital and Alphanumeric pagers for the Defense Megacenter Columbus. Pagers are to be provided for the period from date of contract award through 365 calendar days thereafter. Minimum quantity of digital pagers with batteries is 85 each, maximum quantity is 130 each. Minimum quantity for alphanumeric pagers with batteries is 15 each, maximum quantity is 35 each. This is a requirement for nationwide paging service to include paging capabilities with the continental United States (CONUS). The following service parameters represent the minimum capabilities: the pagers must cover the metropolitian area for 95% of all major cities within CONUS with populations greater than 800,000 people; the pagers must cover the metropolitian area for 85% of all major cities within CONUS with populations greater than 100,000 but less than 800,000 people and pager must cover the metropolitian area for 60% of all major cities within CONUS with populations greater than 50,000 but less than 100,000 people. The vendor must be addressable via PC SW and Server SW and via a company provided on-line and dial up service. No contract award will be made on the basis of quotations/proposals received in response to this notice since this synopsis cannot be considered a Request for Quotations/Proposals. The resultant contract will be firm, fixed price.
