This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice--This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued--This solicitation is being issued as a sole source acquisition with Remotec, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, for two (2) Mini Andros robots, Request For Proposal (RFP) Number 6994, as a Firm-Fixed-Price contract--The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-38--This solicitation is not a small business set-aside--Contract line items are as follows: 001) Two (2) each Remotec Mini Andros robot vehicle assemblies, consisting of the following specifications: Dual Track Chassis; Articulating Front and Rear Tracks; Black/White Camera w/ Auto Iris/Focus and Wide Lens; Telescoping Arm w/Shoulder Pivot and Wrist Pitch; Color Camera w/Light and 6:1 Zoom Lens on Pan/Tilt; Two (2) 12 Amp-Hr., 12 VDC Gell-Cell Batteries; 24 VDC Battery Charger; Tool Kit; Operating/Maintenance Manual (1 copy) -- 002) Two (2) each Remotec Mini Andros Console Assembly, consisting of the following specification: Briefcase enclosure w/hingeed cover; 120 (or 240) VAC/12 VDC power supply; 120 (or 240) VAC cable with GFI; Speaker w/volume control; Color TV monitor (6in.
