The Military Traffic Management Command, Oakland CA is seeking to procure the rental of mobile crane services, including operator(s). It is anticipated that an Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be released (unrestricted) during August 1996 for a requirements contract to begin 1 January 1996. When ordered, crane(s) shall be delivered to various locations (job sites) in Oakland, San Francisco, Benicia, Richmond or Concord California. The contracting officer may order one to three cranes at a time. Cranes provided under this contract shall have lifting capability of between 100 to 180 tons. Cranes, boom length of 80' to 160' with the average weight of each lift varying from one to fifty tons, shall be used to load/discharge cargo from a wide variety of ships and barges. Requests for crane services may occur during weekdays, weekends and/or holidays. At times crane services may be required on a continuous 24 hour a day basis. Although the Government will provide as much advanced notification as possible, the contractor may be required to provide crane services within four (4) hours of verbal notification of the requirement.
