COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JUNE 28,1996 PSA#1626Immigration & Naturalization Service, Procurement Division, 425 I
Street, N.W., Room 2208, Washington, DC 20536 58 -- ENCRYPTED COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT SOL HQ-96-01 POC John
Dragonetti, (202) 514-2646. This synopsis supplements an earlier
synopsis that appeared in the CBD on October 6, 1996 (issue no.
PSA-1447, page 13) for the same requirement. The INS's requirement is
for an encrypted voice communications system. The system will be
composed of communications equipment (mobile and portable radios, base
stations, and repeaters), ancillary equipment (antennas, headsets,
batteries, microphones, manuals, test equipment, programming software,
cables, junction boxes, surge protectors, and other equipment
necessary to install and operate a fully functional communications
system), and incidental services (installation and training). The
proposed sole source, firm fixed-priced, indefinite delivery/indefinite
quantity contract will incorporate Motorola's commercial catalog. The
contract will be continuously updated as changes are made to the
catalog. Such changes include pricing, model numbering, and upgrades
and enhancements to existing catalog items. The delivery schedule for
all items is 120 days after date of order, except for system
integration, which is 180 days after date of order, unless otherwise
negotiated. The point of contact for more information is John
