The Environmental Restoration Contractor for the Department of Energy Hanford Site, Bechtel Hanford, Inc. (Contractor), seeks to procure a sampling system with an online field (not laboratory) analyzer for chromium-VI in groundwater. The system will include an 18-point automatic sampler with electronic interface to Contractor's programmable logic controller. the project includes system design, fabrication, factory testing, on-site installation, on-site acceptance testing, and on-site training of Contractor personnel by a supplier's technical representative. The budget estimate for work is under $50,000. A second unit may be purchased; but installation and training will be applicable to only the first unit. Proposals will only be considered from firms or research institutions that are experienced in producing automatic instruments that analyze hexavalent chromium. Proposals are encouraged that include prototype development if existing models do not meet performance specifications. Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued to prequalified firms ONLY.
