The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following Electronic Book Technologies Inc. software and software support. The following items are manufactured by Electronic Book Technologies, Inc.: p/n DTPUB-SE-WIN DynaText Publisher/SGML edition single user/multi platform for MS Windows 3.x environment (1 each); p/n DTB-WIN DynaText Browser, cpu-dedicated for MS Windows 3.x (40 each); p/n INDX-WIN DynaText Indexer five users, PC environment (1 each); DynaText hotline and update service to include one year software updates, upgrades, enhancements, and hotline telephone support Monday thru Friday except Government holidays and during the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST (12 months). The above items are to support the AEGIS Systems Engineering Support (ASES) group. These items will support multiple platforms to include PC, UNIX and network. The Government requires this software and support so as to maintain complete system compatibility with the existing AEGIS Documentation Online Configuration System (ADOCS) and to assist ADOCS in its efforts to deliver documentation in CD-ROM format and for fleet support. The Government requires Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products that are fully integrated Standard Gramatical Mark-up Language (SGML) based. The required software allows reuse of information in multiple instances for dynamic delivery for multiple mediums. The SGML models manage information at the content level via a tag set or Document Type Definition (DTD) and style information is applied based on the delivery medium of choice. If a documentation is produced for paper delivery, the same content can be reused for CD-ROM, intenet or electronic delivery by applying ''stylesheets on the fly''. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
