The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this project is 1761, Roofing and Sheet Metal Work. The size standard is $7.0 million. The work includes replacement of roofs 1303, 3229 and 3500. This project will remove the existing EPDM and built-up roofs on three buildings and replace with new modified bitumen roofs. The project will also include the removal of any abandoned mechanical equipment on the roofs. There will be a non-refundable charge of $22.00 for the documents. Checks should be payable to the U.S. Treasurer, C/O EFA Chesapeake. Contractors within the local area are encouraged to pick-up a copy of the plans and specifications at Building 212, First Floor, Plans and Specs Room at the Washington Navy Yard. The hours of operation of the Plans/Specs Room are 7:30 Am to 3:30 PM, Monday thru Friday. Please note the plans and specifications will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted. Requests for bidders lists must be made separately. There is no charge for the bidders list. THe projected date for issuance of plans and specifications is 22 July 1996. The projected date for receipt of bids is 21 August 1996.
