Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) intends to purchase a CCD X-Ray Area Detector, for use in x-ray scattering, crystallography, and imaging experiments at the NSLS. The x-ray sensitive area of the detector should be at least 10 cm x 10 cm square, have a pixel resolution of less than 100 microns, be able to read out the full area (unbinned) in less than 10 seconds, and be remotely operable via standard computer platforms. Brookhaven's specification shall detail the complete specifications and characteristics of the detector system.
