The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on multiple occasions over the ordering period of Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-96-G-5242 with ITT Corporation, ITT Gilfillan Division, 7821 Orion Avenue, Van Nuys, CA 91409. Orders will be issued for engineering services and support for installation, check-out, testing or repair of an Field Change Kit and peripheral equipment associated with the AN/SPS-48 Radar. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C.(c)(1). ITT Gilfillan is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and only supplier of the AN/SPS-48 Radar. It is the only company which possesses the knowledge and expertise to perform the tasks described. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work dscribed herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
