Required and salient characteristics of this equipment: Cable and
antenna analyzer must be a hand held instrument (less than 5 pounds)
capable of measuring the standing wave ratio, return loss, and
distance-to-fault on antenna systems (including antenna feedlines)
operating in the frequency band from 100 to 2000 MHz. Both the transmit
and receive functions must be contained in a single case and operate
via a single test port. The test port connector must be a Type N.
Measurement accuracies, range, and /or resolutions of the instrument
must be equal to or exceed the following: (1) Measurement frequency
resolution: 100 KHz or less, (2) VSWR measurement range: 1 to 65 or
greater, (3) Returnable loss resolution: .1dB or less, (4)
Distance-to-fault resolution: .8 percent or less of maximum range, (5)
Directivity: 35dB or greater, and (6) Maximum sweep frequency range:
100 to 2000 MHz or greater. There will be no solicitation issued as a
result of this request. Award will be made prior to 9/30/96 by response
from Request for Quotations for delivery to Western Area Power
Administration, 40 Deer Born Road, Fort Peck, MT. All responsible
sources may submit manufacturer's technical specification, which will
