435-0367. The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute intends to
negotiate with Innovative Interfaces Inc., 5850 Shellmound Street,
Emeryville, CA. 94608, to furnish equipment maintenance, replacement
parts and support services for the NIH Library's Integrated Turnkey
system, which consist of circulation, online catalog, document
delivery, acquisitions, serials and management information. The system
is comprised of a Unix server with multiple hardwired ports and
network connection, Innovative Interfaces, Inc's software components,
terminals, printers, scanners, an uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
and a 9-track tape system. The system was developed by Innovative
Interfaces Inc. The contractor shall, provide the services in
accordance with the statement of work for a period of ten (10) months.
The Statement of Work is available upon request. The anticipated award
date is fifteen calendar days after the publication date of this
synopsis. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for
which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one
source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability
to respond to this requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of
intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all
proposals received within fifteen calendar days after date of
publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A
determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract
based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of
the government. Information received will normally be considered
solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive
procurement. All responsible sources may request a proposal, which if
timely received, shall be considered by the agency. The propsals may
