B -- 12 KW FREQUENCY CONVERTER SOL F04606-96-R-7777 DUE 091896 POC For copy, contact the info office indicated., For additional information contact Gray.5ag/Pkljc/(916)643-0500 This is a sources sought synopsis for existing commercial 12 KW Solid State Frequency Converter (SSFC) with NSN (6130 Class) and P/N to be determined. The Air Force eventually intends to establish a multiple year requirements contract for the SSFC. The SSFC, using solid-state components, shall covert 50/60 HZ power (Input AC Voltage: 120/208V 277/480V, 0.8 Power Factor) to 400 HZ power (Output A/C Voltage: 120/208V - 277/480V, 0.5 leading, 0.8 Power Factor lagging). The SSFC manufacturer shall be the Original Equipment Manufacturer and have supplied the items to commercial industries/airlines. The SSFC must have proven reliability with a calculated Mean-Time-Between Failure Rate of 20,000 hours or better. The SSFC frequency regulation shall be 400 HZ +/- 1% Volt. The SSFC shall have an E & F interlock circuit with bypass selector switch to supply power to the aircraft. The SSFC manufacturer must have a proven tracable logistics support system for parts, maintenance and service.
