Solicitation resulting in firm, fixedprice, requirements contracts in
accordance with Federal standard 122AL and 307Z. The primary purpose of
this Solicitation is to acquire alternative fuel vehicles from original
equipment manufacturers in accordance with the energy policy act. The
Solicitation covers alternative fueled vehicles powered byethanol,
methanol, compressed natural gas and liquid gas. Vehicles may be
flexible fueled, dedicated or dual fueled, offerors must either be
original equipment manufacturers (OEM) (responsible for vehicle fuel
economy under provisions of 49 CFR, parts 531 or 533) or have an
agreement with an OEM pursuant to the terms of the energy policy act.
Alternative fueled vehicles may be 1997 and/or 1998 models. Shipment
required is 90 days after receipt of delivery order, Solicitation will
be issued on or about August 27, 1996 with aclosing date on or about
September 29, 1996. All responsible sources must submit offers in US
