The Naval Medical Research Institute Detachment at Brooks AFB TX has a requirement for the purchase and installation of a radiofrequency-shielded Anachoic Chamber. The chamber shall have the following characteristics; inside dimensions of 24 feet long, 12 feet wide, 10 feet high; usable inside area of not less than 20 feet long by 8 feet wide by 6 feet high; door dimensions of 4 feet wide by 7 feet high; an operating frequency range of 200 MHz to 20 GHz; absorber signal attenuation of equal to or greater than -30db across OFT; chamber signal attenuation of not less than -100db; should meet absorber flame resistance requirements IAW NRL Report 8093 Fire Test; line filters attenuation should be equal to or greater than -60db; ventilation should provide fifteen air exchanges per hour; have a Sound trnamission Class of 30; AC power should be 115 volts, single phase, 20 amperes service, supplied through power line filters. The chamber should also be assembled to facilitate disassembly/reassembly for relocation purposes. The unit should be fully warranted for at least one year.
