Jandovitz, (301) 975-6344 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate with Rheometric Scientific, One Possumtown Road, Piscataway, NJ 08864, on a sole source basis to acquire a RMS Force Rebalance Transducer (med-range) for RMS 800E, S/N 035-006; Torqkue capacity:0.2 g.cm. to 2000 g-cm; Normal Force capacity: 0.2 to 2000 gf.; Power supply; Thermal lengthening of less than 1 m at 1500 g-cm torque; RMS800-10-11 Firmware upgrade; 0503110 Firmware field installation and training; 700-02052-9 RHIOS Software v4. 4.3 Upgrade kit; 8999-00010 RSI Orchestrator software. The Government required one year warranty to include parts and labor, FOB destination Gaithersburg, MD, and a required delivery date within 30 days after contract award. These items are for the purpose of upgrading the Rheometrics RMS-800 rotary reometer currently in the Polymers Division. These are speciality items manufactured by the original equipment manufacturer and there are no other known source. Interested offered may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by submitting a capability statement. The capability statement must provide adequate information and qualifications of your ability to provide the requested system in order for the Government to consider whether to open this request for competition. However, all capability statements received within 45 days after date of preparation of this synopsis, will be considered by the Government. See Note Numbered 22 (0228)
