R -- RENEWAL OF AUTOMATED INFORMATION DATABASE RETRIEVAL SOL FERC96- POC Mary Anne Wright, Contract Specialist on (202) 219-1159, Sylvia Brown, Contracting Officer, on (202) 219-1155 The Fedeal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) intends to renew the subscription for LEXIS/NEXIS automated retrieal services with LEXIS/NEXIS under the Library of Congress's FEDLINK Basic Ordering Agreement for FY 96. This subscription is for online electronic retrieval from databases which give full text access to legal information (LEXIS) and news from over 140 national and international publications and wire services (NEXIS). The service period will be from October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1997. All responsible sources may respond, and vendors offering identical or equivalent services must provide written responses that should include prices and technical data sufficient to determine capability. A detailed response should be received within thirty (30) calendar days after the publication of this synopsis to the affect that a comparable source is available, or is more advantageous to the Government, an Inter-Agency Agreement with the Library Congress will be executed for services with LEXIS/NEXIS. No contract award will be made on any offer or proposal received in response to this notice. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. No telephone calls will be accepted.
