Renovation work includes, but is not limited to, the following: The renovation shall include new CMU walls covered with ceramic tile, and new laminated lockers. The contractor shall be responsible for plumbing, electrical and mechanical work required to accommodate the new layout. Contractor shall relocate washer and dryer. The contractor shall add a ramp and replace sidewalk at the southeast entrance to the gym for handicapped accessibility, install new 2 x 2 suspended acoustical tile ceiling at approximately 16' H, add lighting, repaint windows, remove walls in the locker staff room and office and renovate existing latrine in this area, install new PA system, install new enclosure around existing mechanical equipment in southwest corner of gym. Gym walls shall be furred-out and insulated. Toilet partitions shall be solid plastic. In the racquetball court, the contractor shall refinish existing wood floors, paint ceiling, install laminated wall panels and install new door and frame. The contractor shall also be responsible for abatement of asbestos-containing floor tile and piping. Addition or Expansion work includes, but is not limited to, the following: The contractor shall construct an expansion building of approximately 3378 square feet on the north side of existing Estep Wellness Center. The new building shall contain a single room with slab on grade construction. Finish floor shall be carpeted plywood subfloor on sleepers. The building shall have complete HVAC system, electrical system (no telephone required), a built in sound and PA system. Windows shall be located on two sides of the building. Finishes shall include 2X2 acoustical ceiling tile and grid, mirrors at each end of the room and acoustical wallcovering. This acquisition is pursuant to the ''Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988'' and therefore the solicitation is unrestricted. Subsequent award will be subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The performance period will be 150 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. SIC 1542, small business size standard is $17 million. Therefore, for the purposes of determining small business status, the average annual receipts of a concern and its affiliates for the preceding three fiscal years must not exceed $17 million. All responsible sources may request a solicitation package by submitting a nonrefundable charge in the amount of $25.00.
