Public Works Center, (Naval District Washington) is seeking qualified sources to remove, re-construct, and modify a Porta Fab Modular Building System currently located in Building 25 of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, White Oak, Detachment in Silver Spring, Maryland. The Porta Fab Modular Building System will be relocated to the Washington Navy Yard, Building 22. The anticipated timing of the move is November and December 1996. The Porta Fab Modular Building System is a two story portable building built around a steel column system that is approximately 3600 square feet per floor. The building has quick disconnect electrical connections within the interior walls. The Navy will be responsible for both the disconnect and reconnect of power and HVAC to the building and the removal of all equipment, furniture, and attached equipment, such as white boards and pin boards, not originially part of the building. The contractor will be responsible for removal, transportation and re-construction of the building. This will include the disconnect and reconnect of interior wall electrical connections and ceiling lighting, and removal only of interior wall network and telephone cabling. The contractor will also be responsible for the following potential modifications: 1) additon of a sprinkler system 2) addition of 2 bathrooms (one on each floor) and 3) addition of HVAC duct work to replace the current plenum celing.
