343-0276 x204. The Lowry Economic Redevelopment Authority (LRA) is
soliciting bids for utility infrastructure & roadway construction.
Location is the former Lowry Air Force Base Denver, Colorado. Work
includes pavement demolition; trunk infrastructure (improving & reusing
storm sewer, sanitary sewer, & water); approx. 11,000 LF road
construction incl. demo'd aggregate base course, asphalt pavement, curb
& gutters. Invitation for Bids Number IFB #10-ROAD-UTIL is for the
LOWRY EDA INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT, ROADWAY & UTILITY CONSTRUCTION
PACKAGE. This project will be partially funded with Federal funds
through the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Dept. of Commerce
(EDA Project No. 05-49-02715), and will be subject to all Federal
requirements and regulations. The work will be subject to the
prevailing wage rates and to the Equal Employment Opportunity
requirements established by the U.S. Dept. of Labor. The estimated
price range of construction for this phase of the project is between $5
million and $10 million. The time for completion of all work is twelve
(12) months after official Notice to Proceed. Bid package (IFB) will
be available on or about 08/29/96, with the closing date as stated in
the IFB (o/a 09/23/96). All work on water line(s) must be performed by
a contractor pre-qualified with the Denver Water Board. All qualified
responsible sources, who are interested and are in a position to
satisfy the above requirements, must submit a written request for the
IFB to the LRA's Procurement Program Manager at the above address, or
fax requests to (303) 343-9135 no later than 09/13/96. Telephone
requests will not be accepted. Construction drawings and specifications
will be available at the LRA offices at the above address; at the Rocky
Mountain Construction plans room at 2403 Champa Street, Denver, CO
80205; and at The Daily Journal plans room at 2000 S. Colorado Blvd.,
Suite 2000, Denver, CO 80222. A non-refundable bid document fee of
fifty dollars ($50.00) is required for each set of documents desired.
Checks should be made payable to Lowry Redevelopment Authority. All
prospective bidders are invited & encouraged to attend a pre-bid
conference and site inspection visit scheduled for 9:00 a.m. 09/06/96
