(Site Code DACA05) The project consists of extending an existing concrete turnout structure with three new reinforced concrete bays, with manual operated gates, activators, and a reinforced concrete top. In addition, handrailing will be installed on the the new concrete structure. The existing channel will be modified by excavating a 38-foot wide and 120 foot length channel with an 18'' layer of riprap over the cut slopes and the channel invert and the first 50 feet of riprap shall be grouted. A new reinforced concrete wier will be constructed with wing walls at this location and shall be costructured as a measuring wier. Downstream of the new concrete wier, a new channel will be cut. A 33'' layer of riprap will armor the downstream channel. This procurement will be conducted under SIC code:1629. The size standard for this SIC code is: $17.0 million. Estimated cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. Plans and specifications for this project must be ordered by the CUT OFF DATE of 04 SEP 96 to ensure receipt of bid sets at a cost of $12.00 for specifications (text only); and $6.50 for full-size drawings. Half size drawings are not available. Orders received beyond the CUT OFF DATE will not be honored. Plans and specifications will be mailed out on or about 11 SEP 96. Because a limited number of sets will be reproduced, copies are limited to one set per firm.
