The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) plans to negotiate, on a sole source basis, a three month follow-on contract extension with Agricultural Cooperative Development International (ACDI), Washington, D.C. for the provision of technical assistance services in support of the USAID financed Cooperative Agricultural Agribusiness Support Project (CAAS) in Uganda. The purpose of the extension is to provide additional support to the Cooperative Bank to allow for the completion of its structuring and computerization activities. There will be no solicitation documents issued for this proposed action. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. (0239)
