Landscape architect or site engineering firm to provide professional
services to prepare a design for the expansion of grave sites on 53
acres of land, including: site grading, roadways, landscaping, an
approximate 5,000 square foot maintenance building with storage and
heated shops, approximately 2,000 columbaria, utilities, an effluent
water irrigation system, and redesign of the existing cemetery's
irrigation system for conversion to effluent water. Required services
will include coordination with the existing cemetery, design
development, all appropriate landscape architectural, architectural,
and engineering disciplines, and an estimate of the cost for
construction bidding. The contract will include a government option for
construction document preparation and construction period services.
Only firms with in-house landscape architectural services, experienced
in the design of a similar type projects will be considered. Emphasis
will be placed on the estimating capabilities of the applicants.
Applicants must have an established working office in the state of
Texas. This proposed acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside .
Firms must indicate in response whether they meet the requirements for
a small business concern. No firm will be considered unless an
application consisting of a completed SF 255 and other evidence of
experience and capabilities the applicant considers relevant, is
received by the VA A/E Evaluation & Program Support Service within 30
days of the date of this advertisement. A current SF 254, representing
and differentiating between the personnel, experience and capabilities
of all involved offices, must be included with the application together
with current SF 254s for each proposed consultant's office involved.
Applicants will be rated based on the relevant experience of both the
firm(s) and assigned individuals, the applicant's capacity to do the
work, record of past performance on VA work, geographic consideration,
and participation of minority and women-owned consultants. Award of a
contract is dependent upon the availability of funds. This is not a
request for a proposal. Note: the ''covenant against contingent fees''
