The major functional areas are Supply and Services, Materiel Maintenance, Transportation, Deployment Operations and Information Management Support. The services are currently performed by Government employees. The solicitation will be competed following the guidelines of Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76 - Performance of Commercial Activities. The estimated contract period is a base of eleven months with four one-year options on a Cost Plus Award Fee basis. The offeror will be required to have an adequate accounting system for determining costs applicable to this procurement. A Pre-Proposal Conference including a site visit is tentatively scheduled for 2 October 1996. Request for Solicitation No. DAKF48-96-R-0005 must be in writing and contain company name, point of contact, address, phone number and fax number, large or small business, and indicate that your company is not currently on the List of Parties Excluded from Federal Procurement or Non-Procurement Programs. A check in the amount of $90 shall accompany the request for solicitation. Checks shall be made payable to Defense Accounting Officer and annotated with the solicitation number. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the Government. The tentative issue date is 16 September 1996 with a closing date of 29 October 1996. Formal source selection procedures will be used in determining the best value offer.
