This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number RFQ 47-DA-96 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-38. SIC Code is 3531 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. Contractor shall provide a 4-wheel drive backhoe loader/extendahoe capable of digging to a minimum extended depth of 17.5 feet with a bucket cylinder digging force of 10,500 pounds/feet minimum. A stabilizer spread between 9 and 9 1/2 feet is required with flat cemetery heavy duty pads. The backhoe must have a diesel engine with a minimum of 75 gross horsepower, a cab with heater, suspension seat (cloth), dual batteries, dual level control, drive shaft guard, and a backhoe bucket coupler. The backhoe must include a loader bucket (82'' maximum width) with bolt-on cutting edges. The backhoe must also include a 36'' cemetery bucket, 18'' Hensley frost bucket (V-shaped), and frost hook (minimum of 24'' depth). The tires must be at least 8 ply with turf type tire tread and of such quality to support weight of tractor while operating.
