Naval Sea Systems Command anticipates a competitive solicitation of a
spare SEAWOLF Class Fixed Propulsor Assembly. This procurement will
include requisite parts, machining, and assembly of the spare
Propulsor. Specifically, the successful offeror will be required to
machine Nickel - Aluminum - Bronze (NAB) components identified as Item
6 on NAVSEA drawing # 245-6520270 Rev. L, manufacture non-NAB
components, and assemble Stationary Assemblies. NAB Castings, and
finished components identified as Items 96 and 208 on the NAVSEA
drawing, will be provided as Government Furnished Material (GFM) to the
successful offeror. A CBD synopsis published on 3 April 1996 notified
potential offerors that drawing packages for the SEAWOLF Class Fixed
Propulsor Assembly were available to qualified offerors. Potential
offerors are required to possess requisite CONFIDENTIAL security
clearance. The Request for Proposal will require offerors to
demonstrate their capability to manufacture large, complex, high
