Civil Engineering Unit Cleveland, is conducting a MARKET SURVEY to
identify sources interested in providing a composite piling system in
accordance with the following criteria; 1) provide approximately 90
piles (5,400 VLF (vertical linear foot) 14'' diameter, 60 ft. in length
pipe pilings that are impervious to attack by marine borers, will not
corrode, will not weaken with age, are ice resistant, can be driven
with no damage, can be drilled and cut with ordinary hand tools with no
loss of the pile's design abilities and no loss of the pile's
warranties, with a minimum thickness of .25'', and a minimum bending
stiffness (EI) of 1,000,000 KIP x IN x IN. All interested parties are
encouraged to submit a letter which identifies their interest in this
