99 -- M127 HAND HELD SIGNAL FLARE REPLACEMENT DUE 103196 POC Thomas Carney, AMSTA-AR-AEE-P, Bldg. 3310, Helena Keller, Contracting Officer. U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command is conducting a market survey to identify potential replacement sources for the M127 Hand Held Signal Flare. Any proposed signal flares must be hand held, hand initiated, capable of emitting star clusters or a parachute flare at an altitude of 800 feet and fin or spin stabilized. It must be a self contained item, not fired from a pistol. Responses should consist of company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, fax number, description of item(s), which may satisfy requirement, and company brochure/literature regarding contractor capability. Interested companies are encouraged to submit their responses and ideas to Mr. Thomas Carney of ARDEC no later than 31 October 1996. This market survey does not constitute the solicitation of proposals. Participation in this market survey effort will not effect a company's position during any follow up solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for the information provided. No basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this market survey or Government use of such information.
