D -- SOFTWARE INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION AND VALIDATION SUPPORT SOL N00421-96-R-5038 DUE 010697 POC JoAnn Gough, Contracting Officer, 301-342-1844 X150. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Avionics (Code 4.5) Competency, have a requirement for software independent verification and validation (SIV&V) for Maritime Surveillance Aircraft. The software subsystems shall include the tactical mission, system test and training functions, and subsystems which contain operational, mission related software as well as their related development, integration, simualtion, and test environments and facilities. The SIV&V function shall include evaluation of prime development contractor software plans, requirements, design, code, test, and proposed changes. SIV&V related support shall include maintenance of Navy planning documents, update and verification of documents, engineering analysis, and configuration management, testing, quality evaluation, meeting participation, and short course presentations. It is estimated that the contract type will be Cost Plus Fixed Fee Term, for a period of performance of one year starting 1 March 1997 with four one year options ending 28 February 2002. It is estimated that the work will require twenty two full time persons per year with education and experience in software engineering, programming and real-time weapon system software development. Place of performance shall be within a reasonable distance of NAWCAD Patuxent River Maryland. This requirement is a follow-on action to contract N62269-90-C-0412 with Intermetrics.
