J -- OVERHAUL GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED EMD MAIN ENGINE POWER PACKS SOL RFQ 97-2187 DUE 103096. Contact Karen McElheney at (757) 441-6889/Contracting Officer William Privott (757) 441-6561. Provide 16 overhaulded power pack assemblies (8 fork type and 8 blade type) for EMD 567C marine diesel engines, using 28 government-furnished user power pack assemblies. Work on power packs shall be accomplished by a contractor recognized by the engines. All components and parts used shall be new original equipment manufacturer (OEM) non-surplus components and parts. Contractor responsible for pick-up of all government-furnished power packs from the Atlantic Marine Center, 538 Front Street, Building 3, Norfolk, Virginia and deliver to the contractor(s) inside repair facility. Upon completion of overhaul, contractor shall deliver overhaulded power packs in containers to the Atlantic Marine Center, 439 West York Street, Norfolk, Virginia. RFQ 97-2187 will be available on or about October 30, 1996 and will close 10 days later. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Period of performance: Upon award, completed by 11/27/96. FOB point is DESTINATION.
