Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH intends to purchase from Dodd Camera, Cleveland OH, the following photographic equipment: one Kodak Digital Camera DCS 460, one Microtek Card Reader, p/n MIIDPA, and two Micrtek PCM-CIA Cards, p/n DPA340. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation no. F33601-96-R-A072 is a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-36. The associated Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this procurement is 3861. There are three contract line items: CLIN 0001, Eastman Kodak Color Digital Camera, model DCS 460C, quantity one (1); CLIN 0002, Microtek Digital Photo Album Slot Card Reader, p/n MIIDPA, quantity one (1); CLIN 0003, Mirotek PCM-CIA card 340 MB, p/n DPA 340, quantity two (2). The Kodak DCS 460 camera and associated equipment will be used at the Wright-Patterson AFB Multimedia Center in support of Government photgraphic services. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) portion of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act (FASA). The following FAR provisions apply to this solicitation: 52-212-1, Evaluation-Instruction to Offerors--Commerical. The offer must be held open for 60 days; 52.212-2 are as follows: (I) technical capability of the item to meet the Government requirements. Provide information or brochures in order to evaluate quote; (II) past performance; (III) price; in descending order of importance. Technical and past performance, when combined, are significantly more important than price.
