The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) proposes to award a contract to Physics International Co. (PIC), 2700 Merced St., San Leandro, CA 94577-0599, for maintenance of the PITHON, Double Eagle, MBS X-ray simulators built by PIC, and for maintenance of the Data Acquisition System (DAS). The Government owned facilities are all located at PIC and are operated under an IDIQ operations contract between PIC and DSWA. The simulators support the Nuclear Weapons Effects (NWE) and radiation hardness level verification testing. DSWA has determined the acquisition to do the most advantageous method considering time and monetary constraints.
