Schedule Forum on Friday, November 22, 1996, from 8:15 a.m. to 12:00
p.m. in the Amphitheater, Office of Thrift Supervision, 1700 G Street,
NW, Washington, DC. Purpose of the forum is to elicit government and
private sector views on how to reengineer the FMSS schedule in the
following areas: improving the procurement process, technical
evaluation of software, certifying/testing financial software,
alternatives to testing, purchasing technical services, and acquiring
related (feeder) systems. Shortcomings of the FMSS schedule are
summarized in the document. A Strategy of Leadership and Engagement
available via the Internet (www.financenet.gov/cfo.htm). Attendees
wishing to brief at the forum on one of the topics listed above must
reserve a speaking space (a limited number are available) on the agenda
