DESCRIPTION OF WORK--The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment required to repave Drum Storage Area and 4 300mm wide access road; repair Centerline Road and provide 4 300mm wide replacement asphalt concrete road; and replace existing road surface on Perimeter Road and provide 4 300mm wide replacement asphalt concrete road. The contract shall include the following work: removal and disposal of existing asphalt concrete pavememt, excavation, fill, subgrade preparation, aggregate base, asphalt concrete, seal coat, and incidental related work complete and ready for use.--The estimated cost is between $250,000 and $500,000.--Firm Fixed Price Contract.--Contract duration is 60 calendar days.--Bids will be considered from all responsible sources.--This project is unrestricted.--The Standard Industrial Code is 1771 and the annual size standard is $7 million.--It is recommended the subcontracting plan goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business subcontracting effort.--NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office. A fee will be charged for all plans and specs. Each set will cost $31.00. --Solicitation packages may be acquired in person from Plan Issue or by mail.--Telephone requests will not be accepted.--Requests for the solicitation package must be in writing stating solicitation number N68711-94-B-1539, complete name, address, area code and phone number and whether bidding as a prime/subcontractor/supplier. -Plan holders lists will not be faxed.--Mail requests to Southwest Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (Plan Issue), Building 132, 1220 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92132-5187 with a check payable to DEFENSE PRINTING SERVICE.--Fees are not refundable.--Submit one (1) check per project.--Solicitation packages are limited to two (2) sets per prime and one (1) per subcontractor/supplier.--Plans and specifications will be available on or about 15 NOV 1996.
