equipment, materials, transportation and supervision for dredging to
-10' MLW, approximately 6,000 CY of material from the entrance channel
to Station Eatons Neck and disposing of the material on a nearby
beach, and incidental related work at U. S. Coast Guard Station Eatons
Neck, Northport, NY (Suffolk County). Estimated cost of this project
is between $25,000 and $100,000. SIC code is 1629. Performance time is
45 calendar days. On site work shall be complete within 10 days of
beginning on site work. Solicitation Packages to be available on or

Hetrick. There is a $20.00 non-refundable charge for this package.
Checks should be made payable to the USCG. Requests will be honored
until supply is exhausted. The due date for receipt of bids is on or
about 17 December 1996. This project is issued pursuant to the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted.

Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000. For further information
