This is a request for information only to assist DISA in the implementation of its Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) strategy within the European theater. The RFI signals the Governments intention to solicit proposals, through full and open international competition, for circuit switched services or infrastructure to support the needs of the DISN in Europe. DISA is interested in soliciting industry suggestions for strategies or solutions for satisfying the DOD demand for telephone service in Europe. Creative use of emerging technologies, such as ATM to accommodate future technology insertion, and reduce costs, are encouraged.
