SOL N63394-97-R-2101 DUE 112597 POC Contract Specialist, FELCIA RODGRIGUEZ, (805)982-8701 The Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, plans to issue to Vitro Corporation a sole source, cost-plus-fixed-fee, level of effort, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, for a period not to exceed seven (7) months. This acquisition will provide specialized engineering and logistics support services for the Level III (Weapon System) presently being provided by Vitro Corporation under the station-wide omnibus contract N00123-92-D- 0306. This acquisition will provide a continuation of services pending the competitive award of the follow-on programmatic contracts. In the event of delays in awarding the competitive follow-on contracts, this bridge contract is required to prevent a negative impact on PHD-NSWC's ability to support the U.S. Navy fleet by providing uninterrupted configuration management and quality assurance for the Vertical Launching System (VLS) ship unique computer program tapes; uninterrupted development of the AEGIS Next Generation Peripherals (NGP); and uninterrupted engineering, test, and fabrication of Battleforce Tactical Trainer (BFTT) components. The anticipated award date is 1 March 97. The period of performance is expected to be 1 March 97 through award date of all competitive follow-on contracts, but not to exceed 30 Sep 97.
