The Government intends to solicit from Mica Microwave Corporation a requirement to design and develop wideband, high power circulators based on FAR 6.302.1, Only One Responsible Source. The effort will consist of 2 phases. Phase I will consist of the identification of ferrite materials necessary in the development of an ''ABOVE RESONANCE DISTRIBUTED ELEMENT'' broad-band UHF circulator. Phase II will consist of the building of 2 deliverable prototypes. They will meet the following requirements: Operating Frequency Range: 225 to 400 MHz (56% bandwidth); Isolation - 15dB minimum (17dB design goal); Insertion loss-0.7dB maximum (0.5dB design goal); VSWR-1.45:1 maximum (1.35:1 design goal); power handling-1500 watts CW minimum; Temperature performance-lab environment only; Size-9'' x 9''x1.5'' maximum (5''x5''x1'' design goal).
