S -- INSTALL UNDERWATER ACOUSTIC ARRAY SOL N00406-97-R-4027 DUE 011097 POC D. Clemens Install a Government-provided underwater acoustic array off San Clemente Island CA. The contractor will (1) install the array anchor, the strength member, the subsurface buoys, and the shore cable from the array to the shore laboratory, a distance of about 1.5 nautical miles, and (2) stabilize and protect the array in the surf zone. The water depth at the installation site is approximately 2000 feet. The contractor will obtain and staff a vessel appropriate for the task and will provide the materials necessary to stabilize and protect the cable in the surf zone. Placement of the array must be completed within 30 days after contract award. The Service Contract Act will apply. All responsible sources may submit offers which shall be considered by Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound. Telephone requests will not be honored.
