Capstan Assembly. 9) Overhaul & Weight Test Shipboard Davit Crane. 10)
Overhaul & Test Duel Point Boat Davit. 11) Hydroblast Clean Sewage
Piping. 12) Relocate Pad Eyes. 13) Preserve Buoy Deck. 14) Renew Deck
Covering. 15) Provide Temporary Logistics. Indefinite Items Included,
but not limited to the following: 1) Welding Repairs. 2) Clean and
Inspect Diesel Fuel Oil Tanks. 3) Minor Coating Repair. Vessel's
homeport is Mayport, FL. Vessel length is 180 Foot ''S'' Class Sea
Going Buoy Tender. Vessel availability schedule is 03 Mar 1997 for (35)
days. The place of performance for this vessel is not geographically
restricted. There will be a non-refundable charge of $100.00 required
in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U. S.
Coast Guard for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are
available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA.
The proposed contract listed here is a part of the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or after 18 Dec 96. All responsible sources may submit a bid
which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. For
Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The
Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women owned and
disadvantage business enterprises to acquire short term working capital
and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
