Contractor shall provide an Isothermal Microcalorimeter System in accordance with specifications, statement of work. It is intended to award this contract to Calorimetry Sciences Corporation, Provo, Utah on a sole source basis--Calorimetry Sciences Corporation is the only known source that can supply the CSC 4400, which has several unique features that are required for R & D work on batteries, lithium batteries, capacitors and other power source or chemical system. The sample well of the CSC 4400 is largest, 1.5 inches diameter by 2.88 inches deep. This large sample well is needed for work on size ''D'' cell batteries or for electrochemical experiments where the sample and electrical connections and wires must all fit into the sample well. The large temperature range of 0 degrees C to 100 degrees C is necessary for R & D work on power sources at high and low temperature.
