F -- TREE PLANTING Sol 16-97-3. Due 011797. Contact Contracting Section, 541-523-1209. This solicitation is to provide services for tree planting of Government-furnished tree seedlings on an estimated 600 acres per contract. The project is located on the La Grande Ranger District, Union County, Oregon. An Oregon Farm/Forest Labor Contractor's License and a valid Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act Registration is required. Estimated start work date is April 1, 1997. This solicitation will result in multiple-award, multiple-year, indefinite-quantity contracts. This is a unique arrangement where the 1997 quantities will include a minimum obligation. Task orders will be issued to the contractor offering the best value to the Government, after the minimum quantities have been met. The Government's consideration for 1998 and 1999 will be that only those contractors receiving the initial awards will be included in the competition for 1998 and 1999. Task orders for 1998 and 1999 will be issued to those contractors offering the best value to the Government, considering price, past performance, key personnel, and scheduling. See Note 1. (331)
