58 -- AN/ARC-210(V) ELECTRONIC PROTECTION RADIO SET SOL N00019-95-C-0004 POC Contact, Brian Neiheisel, Phone (703)604-2119 On a sole source basis as a follow on contract and to maintain commonality with existing installations, the Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Rockwell International Corporation, Collins Avionics and Communications Division (CACD) of Cedar Rapids, IA to acquire, including options, AN/ARC-210(V) Radio Set components, which will include approximately 389 RT-1556 Receiver-Transmitters with an option for an additional 300 units, 272 CV-4092 Digital Converters with an option for an additional 175 units, 250 AS-3972 nine inch Tunable Antennas with an option for an additional 110 units, 208 C-11898 Control Sets with an option for an additional 175 sets, 182 MT-6567 Mounting Bases with an option for an additional 50 units, 42 MT-4935 Mounting Bases with an option for an additional 50 units, 20 RT-1745 Receiver-Transmitters, 12 AS-4423 nine inch Tunable Antennas with an option for an additional 20 Antennas, 10 AS-4424 nine inch Tunable Antennas with an option for an additional 40 Antennas, and 3RT-1747B Receiver-Transmitters. The procurement will also include several MT-7006 Amplifier Mounts, AM-7526 High Power Amplifiers, MX-XXXX LNA/Diplexers, and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Demand Assignment Multiple Access (DAMA) Modems. Also included will be options for up to 20 C-11897 Radio Set Controls, 40 ID-2428 Frequency Indicators and 30 AS-3970 twelve inch Tunable Antennas. The installations of the above items will be for various aircraft platforms. The ARC-210 (RT-1556) is a dual use HAVEQUICK/SINCGARS radio. The SATCOM variant, RT 1747B retains the same fit and function of the RT 1556. This contract is to include all associated supplies, support and technical data. CACD is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the AN/ARC-210(V) radio and is the only firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, and experience to perform this effort within the time constraints of the U.S. Navy.
