A -- REMOTE MINEHUNTING SYSTEM (RMS) INVESTIGATIVE SUPPORT FOR WARFARE ANALYSIS SOL N61331-97-Q-1816 DUE 012497 POC Jesse L. Johnson, Contract Specialist, (904)234-4539 Carol A. The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, intends to award a sole-source Purchase Order to Presearch, Inc., Arlington, VA for Technical Support in the continuing development of operational concepts, cost effectiveness, risk assessment, cost analysis and general investigative support in preparation for future RMS Milestone decisions and fleet support for the generation of prototype tactical documentation. The requirement is to provide warfare analysis support to conduct project historical cost analysis and associated task progress, risk assessment, concept development and update support and fleet operational support planning. This is a short term follow-on Purchase Order to complete requirements stated under contract N61331-92-D-0007 for the past five (5) years. As noted these are on-going projects and this Purchase Order will be to conclude requriements already in progress. Presearch, Inc. has developed a detailed in-depth knowledge of these systems through the support provided under the previously cited contract. The tasks contained in the Purchase Order is anticipated to be completed no later than 30 April 1997. No other contractor would be able to build the knowledge base that Presearch, Inc. has already achieved to complete this work within the allotted timeframe. See Note 22. (0006)
