The Government intends to issue a Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Type Contract with five consecutive ordering periods. The minimum quantity is 55 each and the maximum quantity is 195 each. Delivery will be FOB Destination for the first ordering period and FOB Origin for the subsequent ordering periods. Required delivery with First Article Testing is 19 each 408 DACA and 18 each per month thereafter, first article test report due 258 DACA. Required delivery without first article test is 19 each 270 DACA and 18 per each month thereafter until completion. This procurement requires prequalification. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government does not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Approved sources are MRC Bearings, Janestown, NY 14701, Kaydon Corp, Muskegon, MI 49443, and Boeing Defense and Space Group, Philadelphia, PA 19142. Only approved sources who have successfully completed the required engineering test will be considered for award of this flight safety part. The time required for approval of new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations. Information on meeting of qualificatons may be obtained from ATCOM, ATTN: AMSAT-R-EB. The principle medium which the Government will use for technical data transmittal during this procurement is the 4.75 inch diameter compack disk with embedded reader software.
