65 -- BREATHING AIR COMPRESSOR SOL RFQ 796-002 DUE 013197 POC Eric Guidash 813-972-7588 This is a combined synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with subparts in 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-44. The James A. Haley VA Hospital intends to purchase a Champion Breathing Air Compressor, model 25CBD15WTR45ASU, or equal, to include installation at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The unit maintains the following features: (2) high efficiency motors; high temperature shutdown with alarm; air cooled aftercoolers with separator & trap; (2) hospital type inlet filters (3 micron with threaded inlet port for remote intake); Dual Control; 240 gallon ASME vertical air receiver equipped with sight gauge, timed drain, valved by-pass, vinyl lining, 0-300 psi pressure gauge, NEMA 1 hospital duty pressure switch, ASME pressure relief valve; Duplex Medi-trol control panel, NEMA 12, UL listed, mounted & wired with lag compressor sensing, automatic alternation, primary & secondary fusing, remote high/low pressure, remote system control terminal contact, forced alternation; (2) Champion Model #500cd Cycling Refrigerated Air Dryers with by-pass per NFPA 99 with (2) isolation valves, compustat control monitoring, (2) timed solenoid drains, (2) refrigerant discharge gauges, power on light; model DFB-A duplex filter bank with valved by-pass, pressure differential indicators, (2) particule filters, (2) activated carbon filters, (4)automatic drain traps; CO/dewpoint monitor; hospital type duplex regulating station with by-pass; inlet shut-off valves; (4) flexible connectors; test port. Installation will include but not limited to disassemble present air compressor and remove from building, plug existing water lines, enlarge existing concrete pad(if needed) to accommodate new compressor system, set and assemble new duplex champion air compressor and electric hook up. The standard industrial classification code is 5047. This a total small business set-aside. Small business size standard is 100 employees.
