Hamel, Contracting Officer The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) requires services for typesetting, photoservice, platemaking, printing and finishing of single color and multi-color unclassified NIMA maps or charts. These maps/charts provide information essential to all U.S. military operations. Contractors shall furnish all services, labor, facilities, equipment, supervision and supplies (including paper and ink). The finished products shall be small, medium and large format maps/charts which are printed most often on one side only. The products to be printed will be between 1 to 7 colors on JCP E30 or JCP E50 paper, with trim sizes ranging from 22" X 29" to 41 5/8" x 57 1/2". Photoservicing and platemaking will require retouch work and type placement of various notes and barcodes to composited features, pre-screened or individual screen and line work on pre-punched film. Folded products are packaged in shrink-wrapped packages of 25-50, packed on pallets, and shipped to Philadelphia PA. It is anticipated that multiple indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts will result from this solicitation. Proposed contract period is for a base year and four option years. A minimum guarantee of $50,000 has been established for the base year. Specific quantities are to be procured through issuance of delivery orders to the contract(s). Delivery schedules will be identified in each issued delivery order.
