The purpose of this request is to solicit industry recommendations for new technologies for the Minuteman weapon system Environmental Control Systems (ECS). The United States Air Force anticipates a requirement to replace all or part of the current ECS for the Minuteman weapon system. Previous life extension upgrades to the ECS have replaced aging components and subsystems with items of similar technology. The Minuteman weapon system facilities need to be supportable through the year 2020. As part of a long range planning effort, the Air Force is gathering data on the current ECS technology available in industry. This information will then be used to evaluate the long term benefits of a partial or complete replacement of the ECS using that technology. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; it is a request for information only and will not result in a government contract. The government does not intend to pay for the information requested.
