soliciting proposals to install dock levelers, new retaining wall and
concrete pad; enclose carrier loading area and install new canopy at
the White River Junction Processing & Distribution Center at 10 Sykes
Avenue in White River Junction, VT 05001-9997. Work includes, but is
not limited to, site work, concrete, masonry, metals, electrical,
equipment, and other related miscellaneous work. The estimated cost of
the work is between $250,000.00 and $600,000.00, with completion
within 120 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Sealed
offers will be received in this office prior to, but no later than,
4:00 p.m. on February 27, 1997. Offers will not be publicly opened. The
number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of
any offer, or relative standing of the offerors WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED
TO ANYONE until award of contract is made. Proposal documents, plans
and specifications will be available o/a January 27, 1997 at a cost of
$25.00 per set (non-refundable) from the Facilities Service Office, U.
S. Postal Service, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300.
Certified checks or money orders only, made payable to the Disbursing
Officer, U. S. Postal Service (Reference Solicitation No.
082530-97-A-0037). Plans may be inspected at the issuing office and
information regarding their availability may be obtained by contacting

aspects of the proposal should be directed to Bruce Ness, Architect,
(802) 773-7016. There will be a preproposal conference for this project
at the site on Tuesday, February 11, 1997 @ 11:00 a.m. at the site.
